1. The most intuitive difference: their price is different.
Generally speaking, the price of steel wire spiral rubber hose is higher than that of steel wire braided rubber hose, so if the pressure meets the requirements in daily use and there is no special high pressure requirement, then steel wire braided rubber hose is enough. At present, in the market, the common one-layer steel wire rubber hoses, two-layers steel wire rubber hoses, and three-layers steel wire rubber hoses, are generally steel wire braided hoses.
2. The most significant difference: withstand different pressure.
With the same number of layers, the pressure of steel wire spiral rubber hose is higher than that of the steel wire braided rubber hose, so in some specific fields, which pressure requirements are higher, and heavy industries will use steel wire spiral rubber hose.
For example, excavators and bulldozers on construction machinery, it is recommended to use a four-layers steel wire spiral rubber hose with higher pressure.
3. Their production process is different
The steel wire braided rubber hose is meshed, while the steel wire spiral rubber hose is spiraled. We have took videos during their production, more vivid understanding, you can see videos for them in our video column.
Because of different production process, their cut surface texture are different(please see pictures below), you can clearly and easy to distinguish them.

4. Different layer requirements
The steel wire braided rubber hose can be single-layered or double-layered. For example, one-layer steel wire braided hose, two-layers steel wire braided hose, and three-layers steel wire braided hose. But the steel wire spiral hose must be double-layered. Because the steel wire spiral hose must be spiraled clockwise in one layer and anticlockwise in the other layer, so to ensure that the steel wire is not easy to loosen.
