China Stainless Steel Metallic Bellows Corrugated Expansion Joints - High-Quality Suppliers & Factory Solutions
Functions
- Compensate the axial, lateral and angular thermal deformation of the absorption pipeline.
- The expansion and contraction of the corrugated compensator is convenient for the installation and disassembly of the pipeline.
- Absorb equipment vibration and reduce the impact of equipment vibration on the pipeline.
- Absorb the deformation of the pipeline caused by the earthquake and ground subsidence.
Applications
Installation
- The type, specification and pipeline configuration of the metal expansion joints should be checked before installation, and it must meet the design requirements.
- For expansion joints which with inner sleeves, care should be taken to ensure that the direction of the inner sleeve is consistent with the flow direction of the medium, and the hinge rotation plane of the hinge-type compensator should be consistent with the displacement plane.
- The expansion joints which need to be "cold-tightened", and auxiliary components used for pre-deformation should be removed after the pipeline is installed.
- Strictly prohibited to use deforming the corrugated compensator to adjust the installation tolerance of the pipeline, avoid to affect the normal function of the compensator, or will reduce the service life and increase the load of the piping system, equipment and supporting components.
A1: Also known as a metal corrugated compensator, it consists of metal bellows and components like end pipes, supports, flanges, and conduits. It is designed to absorb dimensional changes in pipelines caused by thermal variation or to compensate for axial, transverse, and angular displacements.
A2: They compensate for axial, lateral, and angular thermal deformation of pipelines, simplify installation and disassembly, reduce equipment vibration impact, and absorb pipeline deformation caused by ground subsidence or earthquakes.
A3: They are widely applied in pipelines conveying acid, alkali, corrosive media, oil, hot/cold water, compressed air, flue gas, pulverized coal, and in desulfurization systems.
A4: Ensure the direction of the inner sleeve aligns with the flow direction of the medium. Additionally, the hinge rotation plane of hinge-type compensators must be consistent with the displacement plane.
A5: No. It is strictly prohibited to deform the corrugated compensator to adjust pipeline tolerances. Doing so can seriously impair its function, reduce its service life, and increase the load on the piping system and connected equipment.
A6: For expansion joints requiring "cold-tightening", the auxiliary components used for pre-deformation must be completely removed after the pipeline installation is completed.
