Hesper’s filter press plates main have two kinds: (recessed) chamber plates and membrane plates(diaphragm squeeze).
Chamber Filter Press Plate
Chamber filter press plates are utilized in various of recessed chamber filter presses, and represent the most commonly used plate. The recessed chamber filter plate is a solid structure, the two sides of the filter plate are concave, and two adjacent filter plates are combined to form a filter chamber. There are grooves on the surface of the filter plate, and the protruding part is used to support the filter cloth.
The main advantage is less loss when feeding, fast filtration speed, high temperature and high pressure resistance, good sealing performance, uniform filter cake washing, low water content, high pressure in each filter chamber and not easy to damage the filter plate.
Membrane Filter Press plates
In order to reduce the moisture content of the filter residue, we also have membrane filter plates for choice. A piece of membrane filter plate is composed of two diaphragms and a core plate, and the external medium (water or compressed air, etc.) enters the chamber between the core plate and the diaphragm to make the diaphragm bulge, the composed filter cavity is compressed to achieve better separation and increase the solid content.
Solid content can be squeezed twice after completion of filtration, this can improve solid content of the cake, can improve life-span and reduce energy consumption. They also improve washing effect, shorten washing time, save washing liquid and improve quality of products.
