How to adjust the installation length of rubber expansion joints

1.Strictly forbidden to install the soft rubber joints beyond its displacement limit during installation.
2.If rubber expansion joints be installed on the ground, suspended or vertical, rubber expansion joints’ actual working axial displacement pressure should smaller than the pipeline’s supporting force. Otherwise should install an anti- pull-off device, to prevent rubber expansion joints be pulled off during working.
3.The pipeline must have fixed support or fixed bracket, and the force of the fixed bracket must be greater than the axial force. For vertical installation and overhead installation, corresponding fixing brackets and force-bearing brackets should be installed at both ends of the pipe, to prevent being pulled off under pressure.
4.The mounting bolts should be tightened symmetrically and gradually to prevent partial leakage.
5.Keep away from heat sources during installation, and the media must meet the requirements of the product.
6.In order to ensure the expansion ability of the rubber joint, according to  the technical installation instructions of rubber expansion joint, the assembly bolts should be installed with the bolt head facing the opposite direction of the rubber joints.

If it is not possible to install the bolts in the opposite direction of the rubber joint, need to ensure that there are as few threaded bolts as possible (no more than 2mm or 3mm) to avoid damage to the rubber soft joint body.

The sealing of the flange is guaranteed by the rubber soft joint, that’s why sealing gaskets not required.

Attention: If the bolts and nuts are over tightened, the sealing surfaces may be crushed causing leakage.
