Factors which affect Hesper Hydro Cyclone

2023-08-31 08:18:44

Hydro Cyclone is one kind of Shandong Hesper’s main products, its process flow is simple, cyclone’s layout is convenient, and the management is simple. What are the factors will affect hydro cyclone during working?1iao

  • The higher feeding pressure, the faster feeding speed of the suspension, although greater the capacity of the cyclone but greater the centrifugal force. Increasing the feeding pressure to a certain extent can speed up the sorting process and improve the sorting effect, but as the feeding pressure increased, the concentration of the suspension itself is also strengthened. On the one hand, the actual separation density of the particles is increased, and on the other hand, the density distribution in the flow device is more uneven, which reduces the sorting effect. Therefore, too much pressure is not beneficial for sorting. When the pressure increased, the bottom outlet should be appropriately increased to adjust the discharge. In addition, the increase in pressure will increase power consumption and equipment wear, that’s why it tends to use low-pressure or no-pressure feeding. The general feeding pressure is 0.05~0.1Mpa.

2. Density of the suspension(medium)

Under the same conditions, the higher the density of the suspension in the feed, the higher the actual separation density of the ore particles. In general, the density of the suspension in the feed can be 0.2-0.4g/cm3 lower than the actual required separation density, and the higher required separation density, the greater difference. In the production process, this difference can be adjusted by the feed pressure of the cyclone and the size of the bottom flow port. The lower the density of the feed suspension, the less the amount of aggravating substance. However, at this time, the stronger the concentration of suspension in the cyclone, the more uneven the distribution of suspension’s density, resulting the separation efficiency’s decreasing.

3. The solid-to-liquid ratio of the feed (the volume ratio of ore particles to the suspension)

When the solid-liquid ratio of the feed increased, the processing capacity of the cyclone calculated based on solid ore particles will increase, and the separation efficiency will decrease accordingly. Because the material layer in the cyclone will thicken at this time, resulting in increased stratification resistance and separation, layer velocity decreases and mismatches increase. Therefore, in general, it is more appropriate to use a solid-liquid ratio of 1:6-1:4, and the solid-liquid ratio can be reduced to 1:8 when dealing with difficult coal preparation.

To sum up, there are three main factors affecting the operation of the cyclone: feeding pressure, suspension density, and feeding solid-to-liquid ratio. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us for answers.
